Penicuik Community Theatre Group

Welcome to the home of theatre in Penicuik. Penicuik Community Theatre Group is an amateur theatre and drama group based in Penicuik, Midlothian, and we have been creating community theatre since 1954.

Join Us – Learn a new Hobby in 2026.

Acting, Set design, Lighting, Costume, Marketing, Front of House, Sound recording, Production queuing.

Over the past 70 years Penicuik had the St Mungos Players who became the Penicuik Players, OTT and now Penicuik Community Theatre Group. We are an inclusive group and welcome everyone.

We stage a summer play and the Penicuik pantomime every year at Penicuik Town Hall and have entered the SCDA one act festivals on occasion in the spring. We are looking to grow and secure a bigger audience.

Supporting local theatre is easy – just come along to the shows. Our family pantomime is a Christmas favourite in Penicuik and the surrounding Midlothian area.

Our annual Penicuik pantomime sells out, so be quick when the tickets go on sale! This year’s panto is Dick Whittington by Alan P Frayn.
